The World Cup final will feature a halftime show for the first time
In collaboration with the organization Global Citizen, FIFA has announced the introduction of a "halftime show" for the 2026 final, which will take place in New York.
The event will include a festival at Times Square throughout the final weekend. It will feature the participation and production of the British band Coldplay, who will help select the rest of the artists.
The halftime show is a tradition historically linked to the Super Bowl, but it has recently started making its way into football, as seen with Shakira's performance at the CONMEBOL Copa América 2024 final.
