The Santiago Bernabéu Stadium will host a basketball game for the first time
Real Madrid's venue will be the host of EuroBasket 2029 and could set a new attendance record.
The FIBA European national team competition will take place in Greece, Slovenia, Estonia, and Spain. In the Iberian country, one of the group stages will be played, with the opening match at the Santiago Bernabéu.
If the stadium's 80,000-seat capacity is filled, it will set a new FIBA basketball attendance record, coming very close to historic NBA numbers.
Real Madrid is once again lending its football facilities to another sport, after it was confirmed that the NFL game between the Miami Dolphins and Washington Commanders will be played there this November.
