The FIFA Volunteer Programme has reached one million participants
Launched in December 2020, the project is designed to involve people from all over the world in the organization and execution of official tournaments and events.
This figure highlights the importance of volunteers in carrying out tasks at FIFA tournaments, where they play roles such as welcoming legends, helping fans find their seats, carrying flags, supporting the media, and preparing accreditations.
It’s worth noting that Gianni Infantino surprised the one-millionth FIFA World Cup™ volunteer with a signed ball.
