River Plate, the Argentine team that will travel the most in the CONMEBOL Libertadores group stage
After the draw for the South American tournament, Marca en Zona reviewed the distances that Argentine representatives in this edition will travel.
With their two trips to Ecuador, the "Millonario" will have to travel a total of 23,362 kilometers. Close to that figure is Racing Club, which must go to Colombia and northern Brazil, covering 20,056 kilometers.
The third spot goes to Central Córdoba, which will travel to Brazil, Venezuela, and Ecuador from Santiago del Estero, totaling 19,304 km. Estudiantes de La Plata will cover 16,510 km to face FC Carabobo, Botafogo, and Universidad de Chile.
The teams that will travel the least in the group stage are Talleres de Córdoba and Vélez Sarsfield, with 10,762 and 6,588 kilometers respectively. Both figures represent less than half of River Plate's distance, highlighting how much a favorable draw can impact a club's performance.
